The Slide-Out Quick Fix The other day I was extending the slide-out on the trailer out, while at Disneyland for the day. One of the locks was on top of the slide-out and got wedged in, causing the slide-out to not extend all the way on one side. By the time I realized what had happened, the damage was done. The slide-out was crooked, fully extended on one side, and about 6 inches short on the other.
After dropping $300 to get the bearings repacked I really didn’t want to drop another couple bills to fix this problem. I closed the slide-out (it was able to close tightly) and dragged the rig home. Once at the house, I extended the slide-out again, and yes, it was still crooked. After a couple more tries, no luck.
This Quick Fix surprisingly, was really easy:
This was a quick and easy low-cost fix that got the job done. We haven't had any problems since.
